November 2007 House Price Index

Figures from the Land Registry show an increase of 0.6% in November.

November’ s house price rise was 8.1% and the average house price was £186,009.

London’s house prices rose 1.1% in November giving an annual increase of 15.6% with the average house price at £355,643.

The lowest annual house price growth in November was in the North East with a rise of 3.3% with a house price drop of 0.9% from October. The average house price was £130,574

Kensington and Chelsea was the highest annual price rise in London at 30.4% and Camden had the highest monthly rise at 1.7%.

Transactions between June and September averaged 108,678 per month compared to the same months last year when sales averages 119,580 per month, suggesting a calmer house market.
