House Price Inflation Rising
According to the DCLG July’s prices rose 2% bringing the average house price across the country to £218,479. The prices are still rising even after the five increases since August 2006.
The annual price inflation rose .3% this is the highest since March 2005. It was mostly due to London’s prices where house price inflation is 19.1% and the South East at 11.9%. The rest of the country’s rate was 10.6% compared to 10.9% in June.
The demand is slowing but because supply is low vendors will likely have the upper hand.
